Your Ad Here	"V" Visa - Spouses and Children of Legal Permanent Residents The American Embassy / Consulates are now issuing V visa to the persons who are the beneficiaries of F2A immigrant visa petitions and have been waiting for an available visa number for at least three years provided the original petition was filed on or before December 20, 2002. This visa is a non immigrant visa that will allow the qualifying applicant to enter the United States to join the sponsor of their pending immigrant visa while they wait for their immigrant visa priority date to become current.
In order to qualify under this category the applicant must meet all of the following criteria: (1) Applicant must be the spouse or minor child of a foreign national who is a legal permanent resident (LPR) of the United States. (2) Applicant must be the beneficiary of an immigrant visa petition filed on or before December 21, 2000.
(3) Applicant must have been waiting for availability of visa number for at least three years from the date petition (Form I-130) was filed and (4) Applicant's interview has not yet been scheduled for an immigrant visa. (6) Evidence showing the Legal Status of the petitioner in US.
