Who can Apply?
This visa is for a government official who needs immediate transit through the U.S. to conduct official business on behalf of Indian government in another country or the UN Headquarters in New York.

This visa category is further classified into following two categories:
(1) C-2 is for an official (or unaccredited media representative) of a government not recognized de jure by the U.S. who needs to transit to the UN Headquarters in New York.

(2) C-3 is for an accredited government official, their immediate family and their attendants who need immediate transit through the U.S to transact official business in another country.

Additional documents required

(1) A passport that must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into the U.S.

(2) A completed and signed Nonimmigrant Visa Application (DS-156 Form).

(3) One photo that matches the requirements.

(4) Proof of entitlement.
