K-Visas - Spouse, Fiance (e) & Children of U.S. Citizen
These are for Spouses, Children and Fiancés of US Citizens.

There are four types of "K" visas:

(1) K1. Fiancés of an American Citizen

(2) K2 - Children of K-l visa applicants

(3) K3 / K4 - Spouse and Children of an American Citizen

Procedure common to all K & V Visa applicants

(1) When the applicant receives a letter scheduling an appointment for him to come to the office and formally apply, for an immigrant visa, all members of the family immigrating with the applicant must appear with him for the appointment.

Each person immigrating, regardless of age, requires a separate visa. If for any reasons the applicant is not in a position to keep visa appointment, he should notify the same to the visa office at 2419-8062 / 8374 (10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) Emai1: ivnd@State.gov.

(2) Before going for the Visa interview the applicant should deposit the documents listed under. 'Documents common to all K and V Visa applicants' below at the nearest VFS Office, who in turn will issue a receipt for all documents left with them.

At the time of depositing the documents applicant must also pay a courier fee of Rs. 337/-. Documents at the VFS office should be submitted between 10th and 1514 day only prior to the date of interview.

(3) If the applicant wishes, he may even submit the documents at the Embassy on the day of interview but, courier charges at a VFS office must be paid before the date of interview. It is strongly recommended to submit the documents to a VFS office and at the same time pay the courier fee.
