B2 Visit for Pleasure or Medical
Pleasure visit means activities such as touring, visits to friends and relatives visits for rest or medical treatment, participation in conventions, conferences, or convocations of fraternal or social organisations, and participation by amateurs who will receive no payments, in musical, sports and similar events or contents.

Conditions
The Indian visitor seeking admission under B-2 category will be admitted for one year and extension may be granted in increments of not more than six months each. The Indian visitor coming to US for religious purpose may be granted extensions up to one year, in case that work does not involve selling of any article or solicitation or acceptance of donation.

The Indian visitor who has a B-2 status or changes to B-2 status considered to have violated the conditions if the candidate enrolls in a course of study

If the Indian candidate wishes to undertake a course of study he / she must seek for a change of status to F-1 or M-1 category. Until the change of status is given to the candidate he / she should not undertake any course of study.

Note: If a couple intends to visit a relative in US, one copy of Affidavit of Support or salary details or No Objection Certificate or property documents is sufficient. There is no need to bring a duplicate copy.

The Indian Applicant should note that a visa does not guarantee admission into US. The Bureau of Customs and Border Protection is the deciding authority of admission / denial / the period of stay. At the port of entry the Record of Arrival-Departure through Form I-94 which determines the length of stay will be validated. If an Indian visitor intends to stay beyond the time mentioned in the I-94 form must approach the US Citizenship and Immigration Service to request Form I-539 which is meant for Extension of Stay then they will decide on the request whether to deny or extend the stay.
For getting a B-2 Visa should fulfill the following conditions:

The purpose of the visit must be temporary;

The foreign national must agree to depart at the end of his / her authorized stay or extension;

The foreign national must be in possession of a valid passport;

A foreign residence must be maintained by the foreign national, in most instances;

The foreign national may be required to show proof of financial support;

The foreign national must be admissible or have obtained a waiver for any grou nd of inadmissibility;

The foreign national must abide by the terms and conditions of admission.

Employment and salary details, if the applicant is employed
IT statements and documents showing the assets of the applicant (if any)
NOC and letter of leave sanction in case the applicant is a Government employee.
Appointment letter.
HDFC Bank Fee Receipt with two bar code stickers.
Demand Draft for the issuance fee.

In case of a sponsor

Form I-134 from the sponsor, Affidavit of Support, and their bank statements and employment letter

Copy of the Passport of the sponsor (if possible submit a copy of sponsor's Indian passport)

Documents showing the sponsor's legal status in US

In case of medical treatment in the U.S.

All the documents suggested for normal B-2 applicants, including an affidavit of support, I-134 Form, if required.

A letter from the doctor in India, stating that the diagnosis of the applicant's condition and what treatment/ s will be required.

A letter from a licensed U.S medical facility, stating that the applicant have been accepted for treatment and have an appointment. The letter should also state the duration and total cost of treatment/ s, including any out patient care.

Evidence to the extent, that the applicant has sufficient funds to pay for all anticipated expenses, including outpatient care if he cannot return back to India immediately.
