Appointment
The applicants should seek an appointment to visit the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Depending upon the local needs the application procedures may vary somewhat among Embassies and Consulates. The appointment can be made by telephone, mail, over the Internet, or in person, depending on circumstances.
Due to delay in getting an appointment the applicant is suggested to schedule the appointment as soon as he/ she come to know about the travel program to USA and make sure to know about the visa fee structure and the mode of payment. Visa application fees are non-refundable. Indian Citizens resident in the U.S. can request a visa interview at any of the four u.s. Visa sections in India when applying for a new non-immigrant visa.
