For Tourists, including cruise passengers.
General conditions are applicable as explained above to tourist applicants. Indians landing at a UK port in the course of a cruise and continuing their journey on the same vessel do not require visas provided their total stay in the UK does not exceed 24 hours. They are treated as transit visitors.
This time limit should include calls at more than one UK port without, in the meantime, calling at a port outside the Common Travel Area. Passengers intending to use a ship as a hotel and go ashore on successive days while the ship remains in port are considered to be ordinary visitors (tourists) and general conditions are applicable to them for obtaining tourist visa.
