Who can apply?
One needs to have a sponsor in DAE to apply for this visa. A sponsor could be a resident of UAE, any company or hotel, hotel apartments, tour operators, travel agents and airlines licensed to operate within UAE. A hotel can sponsor the applicant only if the applicant is staying at the hotel, and the hotel authorities will keep the applicant's passport until all payments are cleared.

Documents Required
All the documents listed below will be required by the sponsor while he will be applying for visa locally in UAE.

When visa is applied by the resident for a visitor friend:
Completed application form signed by the sponsor.
Photocopy of the sponsor's passport.
Photocopy of the applicant's passport.
Attested photocopy of the work contract from the Establishment section of the company where the sponsor work

When visa is applied by the resident for apparent/blood relations.
Completed application form signed by the sponsor.
Photocopy of the sponsor's passport.
Photocopy of the applicant's passport.
Relationship evidence from the Embassy.
Attested photocopy of the work contract.
Salary certificate/ evidence of the sponsor. Salary should not be less than Dhs 4000 pm. Or salary Dhs. 3000 plus proof of accommodation for the applicant.

When visa is applied by the resident for wife/children.
Completed application form signed by the sponsor.
Photocopy of the sponsor's passport.
Photocopy of the applicant's passport.
Marriage contract from Ministry of Foreign Affairs in India. Attested photocopy of the work contract.
Salary certificate / evidence of the sponsor. Salary should not be less than Dhs 4000 pm. Or salary Dhs. 3000 plus proof of accommodation for the applicant.

When visa is applied by companies/ Establishments/Hotels:
Completed application form signed by the sponsor.
Photocopy of the applicant's passport.
Original valid Commercial license of the sponsor.
Original valid Establishment card.
P.R.O. card (Public relation organizer card).
Note:
1. This visa is valid and can be used within 60 days from the date of issue.
2. The duration of stay is 60 days from date of entry, exclusive of arrival and departure days.
3. It is renewable for a total stay of up to 90 days. A fee of Dhs 500 is charged for renewal.
4. Holder of this visa may enter and depart the UAE through any airport.
5. The sponsor must deposit the visa at the airport immigration at least one hour before the arrival of the flight along with Dhs 10 as processing fees.

6. Visa is stamped at the airport on arrival.
7. If the holder of the visa overstays after the expiry date, then there is 10 days grace period in which the holder must leave the country. After that, each day overstay will attract a fine of Dhs. 100.
8. If overstay extends to a significant period of time, then a court hearing is issued and the judge decides the penalties.
9. A copy of the visa must be faxed to the applicant when it is ready.
10. This is a single entry permit visa.
