Who can Apply?
Applicants planning to live in United Arab Emirates can obtain a residence visa. A residence visa will be issued by the Immigration department of that emirate in which the applicant intends to stay. Visa will be provided to the applicant by the sponsor (the company or person). If the applicant has entered the country on a visit visa, the same can be transferred to a residence visa by either re-entering the country or by getting the visit visa transferred to residence visa at the Immigration department.

Documents Required
All the documents listed below will be required by the sponsor while he will be applying for visa locally in UAE.
Completed application form duly signed by the sponsor. In case the applicant is already in UAE, she may also sign the form. Original passport of the applicant if the applicant is in UAE, else a photocopy.
3 passport size photograph.
Original entry permit.
Original medical checkup documents.
Copy of the valid commercial license of the sponsor.
Copy of the valid establishment card of the sponsor.
Original receipt from the Ministry of Labor (labor card).

Note:
1. Visa is valid for 3 years.
2. In case the applicant wants the processing of visa on urgent basis, an additional fees of Dhs. 100 is applicable.
3. Empost charges of Dhs 10 is also applicable on all residence visas.
4. Holder of this visa may enter and depart the UAE through any airport.
5. The sponsor must deposit the visa at the airport immigration at least one hour before the arrival of the flight along with Dhs 10 as processing fees.
6. A copy of the visa must be faxed to the applicant when it is ready.
7. Visa is stamped at the airport on arrival.
8. This is a multiple entry permit visa.
