About UAE
The Emirates are bordered by the Gulf and the Musandam Peninsula, in east by Oman, in west by Saudi Arabia and in northwest by Qatar. The land is mostly desert.
Dubai has a deep-water creek, giving it the popular name of 'Pearl of the Gulf'. Dubai is the second largest of seven Emirates making up the United Arab Emirates. Historically, Dubaihas a tradition of trading and business, but also as a significant holiday and tourism destination appealing to disceming travelers from across the globe. Visitors to Dubai, will find white beaches to relax and enjoy the sun, vast array of goods on sale in modern Malls or the traditional Souks offering irresistible temptation to the avid shopper.

Adventure and excitement seekers are also not left behind; there is a wide range of activities to be enjoyed, from fishing to desert safaris, sand skiing to paragliding etc.
Bur Dubai, the original town, has old buildings, atmospheric alleyways and markets.
A predominantly modern city, Abu Dhabi nevertheless retains some of its ancient past. The Diwan Amiri (White Fort) was built in 1793 and still survives. There are many mosques, from the huge blue mosque to the smaller ones.
