Student Visa

Conditions

Language test by the Embassy Authorities.

Appointment by telephone must be obtained with Embassy Authorities.

Applicant must obtain prior approval by the Embassy Authorities from the relevant Immigration

Authorities in Switzerland.

Documents Required

Completed application forms (3 Sets) (see Annexure SWISS-I).

Valid passport

Valid for at least 3 months after the visa expiry.

Having undamaged blank pages for visa sticker.

Previous passport (if any).

Photocopy of first and last page of the valid passport (3 sets).

Latest passport size photo (3 Photos).

Evidence regarding payment of required visa, interview and postal fees.

Two sets of:

Resume detailing the personal information.

Enrolment Letter in the school with down payment receipt. . Daily & Weekly study timetable (total number of hours).

International English Language Testing System Certificate from British Council (if available).

Proof of financial means to meet the study and living expenses.
Covering Letter from the applicant detailing

Applicant's plan after completion of the proposed studies.

How the course will benefit the applicant in future?
Commitment from the applicant to leave Switzerland after completion of the studies.

In case applicant has been refused visa by any Embassy in the past 5 years

Explanation in writing giving purpose of that trip and reason for refusal.

Note: Applicant may be requested for additional documents and a personal interview.

Since prior approval from relevant immigration authorities in Switzerland may take 6 - 8 weeks, the applicant is advised to apply well in advance.
