About South Africa
The legislative capital of South Africa is Cape Town. The administrative capital is Pretoria, and the biggest city is Johannesburg. There are only two major rivers: the Limpopo, a stretch of which is shared with Zimbabwe, and the Orange (with its tributary, the Vaal) which runs with a variable flow across the central landscape from east to west, emptying into the Atlantic Ocean at the Namibian border.
Going from west to east, the country shares long borders with Namibia and Botswana, touching Zimbabwe. From east it borders with Mozambique, and lastly curves in around Swaziland before rejoining Mozambique's southern border.

South Africa is a large country and the major cities and areas of interest are fairly spread apart. A good rail and road system links all major centers. From the majestic Table Mountain in Cape Town to the wild coastline of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa has many facets to discover with some of the best wildlife viewing in the world to offer.
Each of South Africa's nine provinces is home to dramatic landscapes, breathtaking vistas and a vibrancy of both people and nature. This, combined with a rich diversity of cultures, creates a vast and colorful tapestry. From bustling city centres to endless savannahs and picturesque beaches South Africa is a truly unique holiday destination.
