Who can Apply?
This visa is issued to the following applicants to take up short term assignments in Singapore:
(a) Applicant who is a speaker, organizer, workshop leader/ moderator at conferences, seminars, workshops or gathering of a racial, communal, religious, cause-related (e.g. human rights) and political nature.

(b) Applicant who is a religious worker going to Singapore to give religious or other religious-related talks.
(c) Journalist, reporter, accompanying crew member to cover an event or write a story in Singapore.
(d) Artiste performing at night-clubs, lounges, pubs and other similar entertainment outlets in Singapore.
Note: Indian artistes such as those in cultural troupes and performances, camera crew, film directors, actors, actresses, foreign models and photographers on location shooting, Indian speakers, organizers, workshop leaders/moderators at conferences, seminars, workshops or gatherings that are not of racial, communal, religious, cause-related or political nature, professional artists
who wish to exhibit their works, Indian cultural missions, sportsmen who are engaged by local sports clubhouses, Indian exhibitors in exhibitions or trade fairs, journalists, reporters or accompanying crew members who are supported/sponsored by Singapore Government agencies to cover an event or write a story in Singapore are not required to apply for Professional Visit Pass.
Instead they can obtain an Entry Permit from India and can proceed to Singapore. They will be issued a Social Visit Pass at the point of entry upon their arrival at Singapore which will be valid for 3 months and they can perform their activities during their stay in Singapore. In case the stay period exceeds 3 months they may apply for extension.

Procedure
1. Application for Professional Visit Pass should be applied by the applicant's local sponsor in Singapore on behalf of the applicant.
A local sponsor should be a Singapore registered organization, but in case of performing artiste at night-clubs, lounges, pubs or other similar places, the applicant must be sponsored by the employer.
2. Local sponsor while depositing the application for approval must indicate in the application that the applicant will be requiring entry visa from India.
3. Upon approval of the application the local sponsor must deposit the required security deposit (if any) and inform the applicant accordingly in India.
4. Applicant can then obtain Entry Permit from India and the Professional Visa Pass will be endorsed on the passport on his arrival at the entry point in Singapore.
5. Processing time is about 2 weeks.

Documents Required

2 sets of duly completed and signed application Form 14 (see Annexure Singapore-II) per applicant.
2 passport size photographs of the applicant duly affixed on Form 14.
2 copies of letter from the local sponsor, detailing clearly the purpose of visit of the applicant, activities to be performed by the applicant in Singapore, venue of the event, period of the event, and synopsis of talk ( for speakers) etc.

2 copies of the bio-data of the applicant.
Completed checklist 3 (see Annexure Singapore-XV) to be attached to Form 14.
Any other document which the sponsor may think fit to support the application.
A Public Entertainment License, if required. This can be obtained by the local sponsor from the Public Entertainment Licensing Unit, Criminal Investigation Department.
Note: Processing authority reserves the right to ask for any other document/information from the applicant and sponsor which might be necessary.

(b) Religious worker going to Singapore to give religious or other religious-related talks.
2 sets of duly completed and signed application Form 14 (see Annexure Singapore-II) per applicant.
2 passport size photographs of the applicant duly affixed on Form 14. .
A letter from the local sponsor, detailing clearly the purpose of visit of the applicant, activities to be performed by the applicant in Singapore, venue of the event, period of the event. Any other document which the sponsor may think fit to support the application.
A Public Entertainment License, if required. This can be obtained by the local sponsor from the Public Entertainment Licensing Unit, Criminal Investigation Department.

D. Artiste performing at night-clubs, lounges, pubs and other similar entertainment outlets in Singapore.
One duly completed and signed' application Form 14 (see Annexure Singapore-II) per applicant.
One duly completed Annex to application for Professional Visit Pass (see Annexure Singapore-XVI).
Photographs of applicants: 1 passport-size, 1 postcard-size (for individual) or 1 postcard-size group photo (for group). A letter from local sponsor, stating purpose of application, details of venue and period.
A copy of the valid Public Entertainment License. This can be obtained by the local sponsor from the Public Entertainment Licensing Unit, Criminal Investigation Department.
A list of foreign artistes currently under the contract of the Singapore organization.
2 copies of the contract from Singapore organization. Original publicity materials and letters of contract or employment/ testimonials, if making application for the first-time.
Completed checklist 3 (see Annexure Singapore-XV) to be attached to Form 14.
Any other document which the sponsor may think fit to support the application.
Note: The foreign artistes should surrender their valid Professional Visit Pass for cancellation within 7 days from the date of cessation or termination of their performances. Processing authority reserves the right to ask for any other document/information from the applicant and sponsor which might be necessary.
