Who Can Apply?

This visa is issued to the following categories of applicants: Spouse and dependent children (below 21 years) of Singapore Citizen/Permanent Resident.

Aged dependent parents of Singapore Citizen.
Any person working in Singapore on P / Q / S work pass, including his/her spouse and unmarried children under 21 years.

Investors / Entrepreneurs.

Procedure
1. Application for Permanent Residence should be applied by the applicant or his/her local sponsor in Singapore. A local sponsor should be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident. When a person is working in Singapore and is applying for himself then no local sponsor is required.

2. Local sponsor while submitting the application must indicate therein that the applicant will be requiring Entry Visa from India, (in case the applicant is in India) and will be joining the sponsor in Singapore. Non-Singaporeans can become SPRs by obtaining Entry Permit. An application for Entry Permit is an application for SPR.

3. Upon approval of the application the local sponsor/ applicant will be notified by the authorities by mail.

4. Applicant in India can then obtain entry permit from India and proceed to Singapore.

5. Generally such application is made while the applicant is residing in Singapore with the sponsor.

6. Processing time is about 3 months.

Documents Required
(a) For Spouse/Child/Aged Parent of Singapore Citizen/Permanent Resident

Duly completed and signe Form 4 (See Annexure Singapore-XVII).

One passport size photograph of the applicant duly affixed on Form 4.

Photographs of children included in the application should be pasted in the space provided for.

Valid Passport (original & copies of all pages).

Work Pass of the applicant (if any).

ID cards of sponsor & applicant (if available).

Birth Certificate & household Census List of the applicant. Marriage Certificate of the applicant with the sponsor. Educational certificates of applicant & sponsor.

Birth Certificates of children showing the name of all family members.

Divorce / Death certificate, custody papers of child of divorcee.

Letter from employer of sponsor/applicant detailing date of employment, position, pay per month for of the past 6 months with break-up of basic-overtime-allowances per month addressed to Controller of Immigration. It should not be older than one month prior to the date of submission.

CPF statement from CPF Board detailing the monthly contribution history for the past 12 months.

Income Tax Notice of Assessment of sponsor and applicant or anyone of them, as the case may be, for the past 3 years. If self employed: Business Registration Certificate detailing names of partners & Vocational license (if any).
Deed Poll / Change of Name Certificate of applicant & sponsor (if applicable).

Note: Basic salary does not include extra pay by way of overtime / bonus / commission / food / travel/housing allowance / any payment to defray special expenses incurred by applicant owing to special, unusual or hazardous nature of employment, employer's contribution towards PF, pension or retirement gratuity.

(b) For Person working in Singapore on P / Q / S work pass, including his/her spouse and unmarried children under 21 years.

Duly completed and signed Form 4-A (original & copy) (see Annexure Singapore-XVIII).

Two passport size photographs of the applicant duly affixed on Form 4A.

Photographs of children included in the application pasted in the space provided for.

Valid Passport (original & copies of all pages).

Work Pass (if any).

ID cards of sponsor & applicant (if available).
Graduation Certificates (if any) (original & 2 copies). Educational / Vocational Trade / Professional Membership Certificates & Transcripts (original and 2 copies).
Birth Certificate & household Census List of applicant (original and a copy).

Marriage Certificate (original and a copy).

Letter from previous employer detailing duration & nature of employment and basic salary last drawn (original and a copy).
Salary slips of past 6 months & Income Tax Notice of Assessment for past 3 years (original and a copy).
Birth & Educational certificates & ID carp, if applicable. Birth certificates of children with both parents name (original and a copy).
Divorce / Death certificate, custody papers of child of divorcee (original and a copy).

(c) For Investor/Entrepreneur

(i) Global Investor Programme
Indian investors with substantial capital and good entrepreneurial track record may apply for permanent residence under Global Investor Program. For further details, contact:

(ii) Financial Investor Scheme
Applicants with Net Personal Assets of at least SGD 20 million & placing minimum SGD 5 million of financial assets with financial institution regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore can apply for permanent residence under Financial Investor Scheme.
