Who can apply?
This visa is a pilgrimage visa and issued to applicants proceeding to Saudi Arabia for the purpose of Haj. Applications under this category are received only during the Haj period.
Documents Required
Application form duly completed and signed by the applicant.
Passport valid for minimum 6 months at the time of application.

2 coloured passport size photographs, with white background: one affixed on the application form and the other attached by a paper clip.
Air ticket confirmed for onward/return journey.
Original travellers cheques valuing minimum US $500; OR Draft valuing 400 Saudi Riyals on applicant's name, payable at Jeddah to defray personal expenses.
Draft valuing 789 Saudi Riyals towards Moallim fee, favoring United Agencies Jeddah which is changeable every year. This fee is mandatory.
Certificate of vaccination against meningitis and cholera.
Notes:
1. Each applicant must apply through an approved Tour operator who has copies of Accommodation Contract and a letter of the Ministry of Haj in Saudi Arabia.
2. A minimum of 48 hours is required to process the visa.
3. Validity of the visa depends on the period of Haj. Stay is permitted till the 10th day of the Maharram month.
4. Haj visa does not grant to the applicant the right to work or to reside in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
5. The Mahram should write on the application form complete information about his spouse and children or any relative with whom he is travelling. He should also provide copies of marriage or birth certificates.

6. All ladies are required to travel for Haj with a Mahram. Proof of kinship must be submitted with the application form. Any lady over the age of forty-five (45) may travel without a Mahram with an organized group, provided she submits a letter of no objection from her husband, son or brother authorizing her to travel for Haj with the named group. This letter should be notarized.
7. No applicant under the legal age of eighteen (18) will be granted a visa if not accompanied by his family.
8. If the applicant has converted to Islam, an Islamic certificate must be presented; this needs to be notarized by an Islamic Center.
9. Applicants are advised to carry the vaccination certificate to Saudi Arabia for inspection by the Saudi Arabian Passport Authority, if required.
10. Visa is Gratis.
11. Haj requirements are fixed by the Haj Ministry in Saudi
Arabia and coordinated with Haj Committees in India. It can vary every year. Therefore applicant is advised to check with the Haj Committee regarding Haj requirement.

12. The last day to enter King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah for the purpose of Haj is 4 Dhu A1-Hijjah of each year.
13. Upon arrival, pilgrims shall hand over their passports to the custody of the "Unified Agents Office" representatives to enable them to complete all travel formalities to Makkah and Madinah,
14. In the event of pilgrims losing their passport, they should immediately report the loss to the same office appointed to take care of them during Haj. Applicants must obtain a report from the office of the Unified Agents in which the loss of passport is mentioned.
15. All pilgrims must leave the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after Haj no later than the 10th of Muharram of each year. The rules and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia forbid any pilgrims from staying in the country after the completion of Haj.
