Who can Apply?
This visa is issued to the applicants applying to join their family for the purpose of residence, such as joining husband or father living in Saudi Arabia. Residence permits (Iqamas) are issued to the worker and the family of professionally qualified employees. Dependents are given residence visas, which do not allow them to seek employment. Exist visas to leave the kingdom are required for the holders of residence visas.

Documents Required
Application form duly completed and signed by the applicant. See Annexure Saudi-I.
Passport valid for minimum 6 months at the time of application.

2 coloured passport size photographs, with white background: one affixed on the application form and the other attached by a paper clip.
Payment order for 2000 Riyal towards visa fee paid in Saudi Arabi by the sponsoring family member.
Applicants must have an authorization from Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs (obtained by their sponsor in Saudi Arabia after applying on behalf of the applicant). The Embassy in India must be provided with the authorization number officially.
Visa slip copy (authorization No.)
Medical certificate of a doctor approved by Embassy.

Proof of kinship: Marriage certificate if the wife is visiting her husband. Birth Certificates & Polio Certificate (for child below 5 years) if child is joining parents (original & copy).
The age of an accompanying male child should not exceed 17 years; an accompanying daughter should not be married.

Notes:
A minimum of 24 hours is required to process the visa.
Validity of visa is 60 days.
Stay permitted for 90 days. The visa can be extended by the sponsor in Saudi Arabia.
Residence visa does not grant to the applicant the right to work or to reside in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Embassy in India does not have the authority to extend or renew a residence visa.
