Skilled worker/Specialists are persons who are trained in a particular field or have special qualifications required in Norway. The expertise must be critical for the enterprise seeking to hire the person.
The skilled worker/specialist training must be documented by a certified translation into Norwegian or English. To apply for a work permit under this category, the applicant must have a concrete job offer. As a general rule, aspiring employee under this category must apply for a work permit from India. But may also apply from within Norway if he/she is lawfully in the country. Indian applicants applying within Norway must have a visa with three months duration or a job applicant visa.
