Seven Days Entry Visa - Special Regulation Visa Type D
There is also a special category visa known as type D visa which may be issued to those persons who marries a Norwegian Citizen living in Norway, or is planning to settle in Norway but at the same time wants to apply for residence permit from within Norway.
This is a seven days entry visa and the applicant must apply for residence permit after entering Norway. This visa is also applicable to the following:
. Indians married to citizens from other Nordic countries living in Norway or planning to settle in Norway.
. Indian national living in Norway with a residence permit, the spouse may apply for a residence permit if he/ she has been married for at least two years.
. Children under the age of 18 can also apply for a residence permit with the spouse.
. D Visa for Employment

 

Conditions

. Both parties must be over 18 years of age before a visa can be issued.
. Both parties must live in Norway.
. If either party is under 171/2 years at the time of marriage, the application will be sent to the Directorate of Immigration in Norway.
. Both parties must be present at the time of marriage.

Documents Required
. Two sets of dully filled in and signed application Form (GP-7028E) as per Annexure Norway-IV in capital letters.
.Two sets of the questionnaire as per Annexure Norway-III. Two sets of application form as per Annexure Norway-I duly filled in Capital letters and signed.
Two recent passport size photographs which are not older than 6 months. Same for the accompanying children if they are also applying together.

Original passport and two copies of the first two and last page of the passport.
Demand Draft for the processing fee in original with 2 two photocopies on A4 size paper.
Two copies of the marriage certificate, birth certificate. (The applicant must submit original birth certificate and school certificate).
Two copies of the marriage certificate duly issued by the Registrar of marriages (if applicable).
If any of the parties have been married before, original divorce/ death certificate must be submitted with two photocopies.
Two copies of the employment contact of the person in Norway showing the length of the employment and the amount of income. Wage slip showing the income during the last three months i.e. salary certificate, documentary proof of residence in, Norway and employment in Norway.

Note: A processing fee of Rs. 2,000/- is applicable. In case the application needs to be forwarded to UDI for processing, an additional amount of Rs. 3300/- will have to be deposited by the applicant before the application is sent to UDI for consideration.
Processing may take from 4 to 15 months. Application should be made personally.
D Visa for Employment
Documents Required
. Original passport
. Two recent passport size photographs with white background.
. Two sets of Visa application form duly filled in and signed as per Annexure Norway-I
. Two sets of the Questionnaire as per Annexure Norway-III.
. Two copies of first and last page of passport.
. Two copies of education certificates (school/ graduate/ post-graduate)
. Two copies of the itinerary print out.
. Original Demand Draft for the processing fee with two copies of the Demand Draft.
. Two copies of the Offer of Employment as per Annexure Norway-V.
Note: All certified official documents to be submitted in ORIGINAL which will be returned on the next working day. A processing fee of Rs. 2000/- is applicable.
