What is Advisory procedure?
The advisory procedure is the procedure by which the sponsor in Netherlands takes initiative to seek an authorisation for temporary stay (MVV)by lodging an advisory application with the IND. Common purposes for which MVV is required is same as explaind earlier.
The IND strongly advises that MVV applications for the purpose of paid employment should be launched by sponsor via the advisory procedure.

The IND is located at "IND's S-W regional office" in Rijswijk. All MVV applications for primary purpose of paid employment are handled by IND labour migration desk and the procedure must normally be launched by sponsor (employer). An important condition for admission as highly skilled migrant (introduced as from 1 October 2004) is that the employer has concluded an agreement with IND. Highly skilled migrant is a migrant coming to the Netherlands for the purpose of employment.
Note: In case of positive outcome, embassy/consulate general will inform applicant in writing. The applicant then will have to complete an application form, pay the fee for MVV and collect necessary legalised documents. If the documents are incomplete, the applicant is given a one-off period of four weeks in which to rectify the omissions.

In the case of advisory procedure, the Indian applicant must lodge the application at the embassy/consulate general within six months of the date on which the IND issued a positive recommendation.

What is Legalization of document?
According to Dutch regulations after legalization only the Indian documents can be used in the Netherlands either by the embassy in New Delhi (for documents originating from Northern India) or by the consulate general in Mumbai (for documents originating from Southern India). Please be informed that the authority in Netherlands that requires legalization, can still demand verification of document(s).
