Who can Apply?
Following applicants can apply under this category.
1. Minor children of the Netherlands resident.
2. Adult children of the Netherlands resident.
3. Single parents of the Netherlands resident who are aged 65 years or above.

Conditions
1. Minor Children
Applicant should be younger than 18 years.
Applicant should not be married and have never been married.
Applicant should in fact be a member of the Netherlands resident's family. Meaning there by that the applicant have not lived apart from the Netherlands resident for more than 5 years.
Applicant should be related to the person with whom he/ she want to stay in the Netherlands.
Applicant should not be a threat to public.
Applicant should live with his/her mother or father on arrival in the Netherlands.
Applicant should get registered at the same address as of his/ her father and/ or mother.
Applicant's parent/ s should have sufficient income in the Netherlands.

2. Adult Children
Applicant should be older than 18 years.
Applicant should in fact be a member of the Netherlands resident's family. Meaning thereby that the applicant have not lived apart from the Netherlands resident for more than 1 year.
Rest of the conditions remain same as above except the marital status.

Note: Adult child will not be admitted to the Netherlands except on condition that it would be unreasonably harsh to make the adult child stay behind in India.

Single Mother/Father
Applicant should be aged 65 or over.
Applicant should be single i.e. do not have a partner. Applicant should not have any other children in India with whom the applicant can live in India.
Almost all of the children of the applicant live in Netherlands. Applicant should not be a threat to the public of Netherlands. Applicants son/s or daughter/s should have sufficient income in the Netherlands to support themselfs and the applicant.
Note: If the applicant has more than one child staying in the Netherlands, applicant can add up the incomes of all of them and not only the income of the child with whom he/ she is going to live with.
Applicants child must have a Dutch nationality or a permanent residence permit or a temporary residence permit (asylum).

Documents Required
If applicant is a minor child of the Netherlands resident father and/or mother:
Copy of the applicant's passport.
Netherlands relatives proof of sufficient income.
Copy of the details from the Municipal Personal Records
(GBA) of the Netherlands relative showing family composition, which is not older than 6 months.
Copy of identity papers in case relative is a Dutch citizen or copy of residence permit or copy of passport showing the residence permit.
Birth Certificate of the Child.
If the child is of the 15 or older:
- Appendix "Declaration of Civil Status" in the application form should be signed by the child, showing that the child is not responsible for the care of minor children.

If the child is from a previous relationship of the Netherlands sponsor:
Documents to prove that the Netherlands sponsor have legal custody over the Indian child.
.Declaration of concept duly signed by the remaining parent regarding departure of the child from India. If applicant is an adult child of the Netherlands resident father and/or mother:
Copy of the applicant's passport.
Netherlands relatives proof of sufficient income.
Copy of the details from the Municipal Personal Records (GBA) of the Netherlands relative showing family composition, which is not older than 6 months.
Copy of identity papers in case relative is a Dutch citizen or copy of residence permit or copy of passport showing the residence permit.
Appendix "Guarantor's Declaration" completed and signed by the Netherlands sponsor.
Appendix "Declaration of Civil Status" signed by the Indian applicant, showing that he/she is not responsible for the care of minor children.
Unmarried status declaration of the Indian applicant, issued in India.
Birth certificate of the Indian applicant.
Proof that leaving the Indian applicant behind in India will cause disproportionate hardship to the Indian applicant as well as the sponsor in Netherlands. Such as, documentary evidence that no family is any longer present in India, that the Indian applicant is dependant of the Netherlands sponsor or that the Indian applicant is unable to provide for his/her own existence in India.
Documentary evidence of the relationship between Indian applicant and the Netherlands Sponsor (only when birth Certificate does not clarify the relationship).
Documentary evidence regarding contributions to the cost of care and upbringing of the Indian applicant from the date of the Sponsor's Settlement in Netherlands.
Documents proving the legal custody over the Indian applicant.
Documents proving the actual custody over the Indian applicant. Such as documents showing that the sponsor is or has been involved in important decisions regarding the care and upbringing of the Indian applicant, including decisions with regard to the choice of school, housing and social development.
Document's regarding the family with whom the Indian applicant is staying or can stay while in India.
. If applicant is the father or mother of the Netherlands resident: Copy of the applicant's passport.
Netherlands relatives proof of sufficient income.
Copy of the details from the Municipal Personal Records (GBA) of the Netherlands relative showing family composition, which is not older than 6 months.
Copy of identity papers in case relative is a Dutch citizen or copy of residence permit or copy of passport showing the residence permit.
Documents to prove the family relationship between the sponsor and the Indian applicant such as birth certificate of the sponsor.
Divorce decree of the Indian applicant or death certificate of the other partner of the Indian applicant or official documents to prove that the Indian applicant is not married or a registered partner.
Document to prove the family composition of the Indian applicant (Number of Children)
Documents to prove the family composition of the children of the Indian applicant who are residing in the Netherlands, or Annexure-A.
Notes: 1. When applicant applies for a residence permit after reaching the Netherlands, he/ she will be examined for tuberculosis.
2. The residence permits, in principle, issued for 1 year.
3. Application for extension of the residence permit can be made after the applicant is assessed by the IND. In general, residence permits are extended for a period of 1 year, but for a period that is 1 month shorter than the validity of the applicants passport.
4. The fee for extending the residence permit is EURO 285. 5. To know the extent of sufficient income, refer to Annexure Holland-II or Annexure-A.
