About Malaysia
Malaysia was formed in 1963 through a merging of the former British colonies of Malaya and Singapore, including the East Malaysian states of Sabah and Sarawak. The Federation of Malaysia comprises peninsular Malaysia is separated and the states of Sabah and Sarawak by the South China Sea. To the north of Peninsular Malaysia is Thailand while its Southern neighbor is Singapore. Sabah and Sarawak are bounded by Indonesia while Sarawak also shares a border with Brunei.
Malaysia is a land of fascinating wonders from its people to an assortment of natural beauties both on land and the sea. For land-based adventurers, there are cascading waterfalls and cool evergreen forest and mountains with fascinating panoramic views. The west coast is favored for historical interest, and is where Malaysia’s capital city, Kuala Lumpur is to be found.

Apart from its natural beauty, there are endless shopping complexes and variety of cuisines. There are discotheques, pubs, nightclubs, musical lounges, karaokes and cinemas; and for the more serious theatre and philharmonic concerts playing classical music
