Who can Apply?
This visa is issued to the prospective visa applicants, who have experience in foreign cooking or special food preparation, architecture or civil engineering, manufacture or repair of products special to foreign countries, processing of gems, precious stones or fur, training animals, seabed digging for oil exploration or development of terrestrial heat or study of seabed for minerals exploration, piloting an aircraft used for air transport, instructing sports, or a person who has ever taken part in Olympic games alike world championships or such international games as a respective player.

Conditions
The applicant should fall under any one of the following categories and should receive a salary not less than that a Japanese national would receive for comparable work.
1. A person with at least 10 years’ experience in foreign cooking or special food preparation originating abroad (including the period of time spent studying at educational institutions in a foreign country while majoring in the skills concerned) who is to engage in a job requiring such skills.

2. A person with at least 10 years of experience in architecture or civil engineering characteristic to foreign countries (including the period of time spent studying at educational institutions in a foreign country while majoring in the skills concerned) who is to engage in a job requiring such skills. (If the person concerned were to engage in a job under the guidance of a person who has at least 10 years’ experience his or her experience of 5 years would be accepted in lieu of 10 years.)

3. A person with at least 10 years’ experience in manufacture or repair of products special to foreign countries (including the period of time spent studying at educational institutions in a foreign country while majoring in the skills concerned) who is to engage in a job requiring such skills.
4. A person with at least 10 years’ experience in processing of gems, precious stones or fur (including the period of time spent studying at educational institutions in a foreign country while majoring in the skills concerned) who is to engage in a job requiring such skills.
5. A person with at least 10 years’ experience in training animals (including the period of time spent in studying at educational institutions in a foreign country while majoring in the skills concerned ) who is to engage in a job requiring such skills.

6. A person with at least 10 years’ experience in seabed digging for oil exploration or development of terrestrial heat or the study of the seabed for minerals exploration (including the period of time spent in studying at educational institutions in a foreign country while majoring in the skills concerned) who is to engage in a job requiring such skills.
7. A person with at least 2,500 hours’ experience in piloting an aircraft who is to engage in a job as a pilot of an aircraft used for air transport, which a person cannot pilot as a captain without the qualification of pilot in air transport of an airline.
8. A person with at least 3 years’ experience in instructing sport (including the period of time spent studying at educational institutions in a foreign country while majoring in the skills concerned and engaging in the sport with remuneration) who is to engage in a job requiring such skills or a person who has ever taken part in Olympic games alike world championships or such international games as a representative player and is to engage in a job requiring such skills concerning the instruction in the sport.

Additional Documents Required
a. Copies of company registration and profit and loss statement of recipient organization.
b. Documents describing the business undertaken by recipient company.
c. Personal history with documents issued by official organization, which is proving the career and the qualification regarding the activity of the applicant.
d. Documents proving the activities, durations, position and salary of the applicant.
Activities authorized to be engaged in
Activities to engage in service that requires industrial techniques or skills belonging to special fields on the basis of a contract with a public or private organization in Japan. Applicants must fulfill certain conditions concerning personal history and work status.
