Who can Apply?
This visa is issued to persons wishing to start their own international trade or other business in Japan or where a person has to manage the international trade or any other business activities in the capacity of a manager.

(a) The facilities to be used as an office for the business concerned are located in Japan.

(b) The business concerned is maintained in such a scale as to employ at least 2 full-time employees in Japan (excluding foreign nationals residing under the status of residence), in addition to those who operate and / or manage the business.

b. In case an applicant is to engage in the management of international trade or other business in Japan, he or she should have at least 3 years’ experience in the operation and / or management of business (including the period during which the applicant studied business operation and management at Graduate School) and receive no less salary than a Japanese national would receive for comparable work.

2. If the applicant intends to engage in management of international trade or other business on behalf of foreign national who began/ invested the business concerned:
- Documents as mentioned above; and
- Documents certifying the activities of the applicant, its duration, position and remuneration.

3. If the applicant intends to engage in management of international trade or other business on behalf of the foreign national who began or invested in the business concerned / is engaged in management of business concerned which was begun or invested in Japan, the following materials are required.
- All the documents as mentioned above; and
- Documents to prove the career of the applicant including the certificates relating to graduation in business management or administration.
