Information Note on the Registration of Medical Practitioners
Anyone who wishes to practise medicine in Ireland must be reg­istered on the Register of Medical Practitioners. Under the Medical Practitioners Act, 1978, the Medical Council is the independent authority charged with maintaining the Register of Medical Practitioners: Enquiries regarding registration should be addressed to the Medical Council at the following address:­
