Greece Visa System
Greece being one of the 15 countries forming the Schengen convention follows the same visa system as followed by any other Schengen State thus a person with valid Schengen Visa can enter Greece without a Greece visa.
The Embassy or Consulate of Greece issues mainly two types of visas from India.
Schenegen Visa - valid in all Schenegen Countries.
National Visa - visas valid for entry to Greece only.
In case an applicant is applying for a Schenegen Visa at the Greece Embassy in India, he/ she should apply for the same only if Greece is the main destination of the applicant or stay of the applicant in other Schenegen countries is same as in Greece. In any case both the visas are either a Short-stay (Up to 90 days) or long-stay (more than 90 days).
