Who can apply?
Aspiring applicant who intends traveling Greece in connection for attending to business related activities.

If employed:
A letter from the employer covering the following points:
Applicant's professional status.

Purpose of visit.
Duration of applicant's stay in Greece.
If the employer is paying towards the cost of ticket and expenses in Greece, the same must also be mentioned in the letter.
Documents to prove that the applicant has sufficient means of subsistence, covering both the duration of the stay and the return journey. Such as:
Applicant's own financial means (e.g. cash, travellers cheques and credit cards accepted in Greece, foreign exchange endorsement on the passport, an employment contract (if employed), bank statements, proof of enrolment on the trade register (proof of business) and/or of professional activity, salary slips, IT returns - personal or company.

If visiting Greece on invitation from a Greece company: Documents proving relations with the Greek company such as letters etc.
Invitation letter as received by the applicant should also be faxed by the Greek company directly to the Embassy or consulate on the fax No. as mentioned earlier. Proof to this extent may also be attached.
Proof of hotel reservation or an affidavit duly signed by the Greek company confirming responsibility of covering all the expenses of the applicant including stay in Greece.

Business documents of the applicant's company in India, such as Certificate/registration from an Indian Chamber of commerce & Industries, Company profile, IEC allotment letter etc.
Proof of applicant's valid travel insurance policy, either individual or group, covering the cost of repatriation on medical grounds, urgent medical treatment and/or urgent hospital' treatment, transportation back to India if required for medical reasons.
Note: As a rule, applicant must take an international insurance policy in India. If the host takes an insurance policy for the applicant, the same must be done in his/her own country of residence. To find­ out which insurance policies are accepted, applicant is advised to contact the Greece embassy or consulate. The insurance must be valid throughout all of the Schengen countries and must cover the whole duration of the stay. The minimum cover is 30,000 euro.
Note: Applicant may also be called for a personal interview if required.
