Visa for Dependents Married to French Nationals

Who can apply?
Persons who are dependents of a French National after their marriage with a French National.

Procedure
Apply for short stay or long stay visa depending on the requirement.
Obtain French marriage certificate by registering with Consulate General of France.
Obtain livre de famile from the Consulate General of France.
Take an appointment with the Consulate General of France and submit the application along with the following documents.

Documents Required
1. Application form duly filled and signed. See Annexures France-I (for short stay) and France II (for long stay). (For English translation of the Annexure-II, see Annexure France-III).

2. Original Passport with a validity of at least six months.
Copy of the first page of their passport.
Two recent photographs.
Original covering letter by the applicant duly signed. Livre de famile - copy.
French Marriage Certificate - copy.
Passport of the spouse in France - copy.
(i) The departure date must be mentioned on the visa application.
(ii) Photocopies which are not on A4 size sheets will not be accepted.
