Who can apply?
Scientists going to France for research work for a duration of less than 3 months can apply under this category. Those going for a longer duration should apply for a Long Stay Visa.

Documents Required
Original Passport with a validity of at least three months.
Two application forms duly filled and signed. See Annexure
France-I
Three recent photographs.
Original covering letter by the applicant duly signed.
Protocol d' accueil - original.
Overseas medical insurance policy with repatriation, evacuation cover equivalent to 30,000 euros - one copy.
Air Ticket or E Ticket - one copy.

Notes: (i) Documents should by arranged in the order given above.
(ii) Both applications should be submitted along with the above mentioned documents.
(iii) Photocopies which are not on A4 size sheets will not be accepted.
(iv) CERN and other specified Organisations invitees need not pay any visa fees.
(v) Dependents of the main applicant shall also apply at the same time following the same procedure and documents.
