Clearance on Arrival at Canada
Grant of a visa from the High Commission does not guarantee entry into Canada. On arrival, an officer from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) will take a quick interview of the traveler. The officer will then stamp the passport or advise him the duration of his stay in Canada. One must feel free to ask all questions in case he is not sure about anything. On arrival, traveller may even change the conditions of his visit. This is also possible in special cases.
Children under the age of 16 must carry their identification document. A letter from the parent of a minor child, if not traveling with parent or guardian, alongwith documents showing that the child has no other guardian. Example: a birth certificate that does not identify the father.
