Principal applicant $1050

    A family member of the principle applicant who is 22 years of age or older, or is less than 22 years of age and is a spouse or common law partner $550

Note: The above fees are applicable to applicants applying in person at the Canadian High Commission. This is payable in Canadian Dollars or equivalent Indian Rupees by Demand Draft or Certified Cheque in favour of "Canadian High Commission" OR "Receiver General for Canada" payable at New Delhi. This fee is payable by principal applicants (with following exceptions) and accompanying spouses and common-law partners.

The same must be paid before the immigrant visa is issued overseas or before the applicant becomes a permanent resident in Canada. Exceptions are dependent children of a principal applicant or sponsor, a child to be adopted, or an orphaned brother, sister, nice, nephew or grandchild and protected persons, including Convention refuges. An additional fee of C$490 per person for the principal applicant and his/her spouse or common-law partner (if applicable) is also payable before the application is finalized. The applicant will receive a request to pay this fee when the visa office is ready to issue the permanent resident visa. Dependent children are exempt form this fee.

Who may apply?
Experienced persons, who can invest of start a business in Canada, can apply under this category. Such applicants are expected to support the development of Canadian economy. In other words all those persons who possess funds, skills and necessary experience to do business in Canada can be the aspiring applicant under this category.

Important Information in relation to Business Immigration

Business Immigration is broadly classified into three categories

Investors.

Entrepreneurs.

Self-employed Persons.

Each application can be made for only one class and once the application is submitted, the class cannot be changed. Business immigrants are selected based on their ability to become economically established in Canada.

The government of Canada provides no financial support to business immigrants. All business applicants must establish that they have enough money to support themselves and their family members for at least one year after they arrive in Canada. This is normally satisfied by the net worth requirements. Nonetheless, applicant should research the cost of living in the region of Canada where he/ she intend to live' and have access to enough capital for initial establishment.

This is for further information, that Canadian legislation requires persons entering Canada to declare cash funds of C$10,OOO or more and the traveler have to disclose these funds to a Canadian official upon arrival. Cash funds means money (coins or bank notes), securities in bearer instruments in bearer form (bank drafts, travelers cheques, money orders, etc.)
