Religious Missionaries Visa

Who can apply?
This visa is issued for religious missionaries, members of clergy and of monastic orders, temporarily transferred to Brazil.

Documents Required
I. Documents required from religious order in Brazil:
(a) Records pertaining to constitution and respective statutes.
(b) Duly constituted authority by religious official representing order.
(c) Written assurance regarding financial surety for applicant and their family members in Brazil.
(d) All the above documents should be notarized in Brazil and photocopies to be authenticated.

II. Documents required from the applicant:
(a) Evidence of ordination equivalent and/or school transcript of theological education in an institution of higher learning.
(b) Photocopy of Diploma.
(c) Resume indicating academic and missionary history.
(d) Marriage certificates and birth certificates of minor dependents, if any.
(e) Declaration mentioning to work in Indian areas (if it is the case) only after issuance of permit by FUNAI (Fundacao Nacional do Indio).
(f) Valid photocopy of passport of each accompanying family member.
(g) Completed visa application forms (3 sets) by each family member including the applicant.
(h) Latest passport size photo (3) for each applicant.
(i) Police Clearance Certificate.

Notes:
1. Applicant should submit all the above documents along with the passports.
2. Documents from II(a) to (d) above should be legalized by the Embassy of Brazil/Consulate General in the jurisdiction of which they were issued.
3. Photocopy of the document at II(e) should be authenticated by the Embassy before submitting it for visa.
4. In case any other services are used, pay accordingly as explained in the para "Procedure & Conditions common to all applicants".
