Procedure & Conditions common to all applicants
Obtain application forms from the embassy only or take a printout from the CD.
Grant of a visa is no guarantee for entry to Brazil.
Visas to Brazil are issued on individual basis.
If a passport bears more than one name, then separate visas will be issued to each one of them.
Applicant should possess a valid passport i.e. it must be valid for at least 6 months.
Applicant should possess latest passport size photographs which could either be color or black & white with a clear front view (Snapshots are liable to be rejected).
Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required if: ­

The applicant has traveled within the past 90 days to any of following countries:
Angola.
Benin.
Burkina Faso.
Bolivia.
Cameroon.
Colombia.
Democratic Republic of Congo.
Ecuador.
French Guyana.
Gabon.
Gambia.
Ghana.
Guinea.
Liberia.
Nigeria.
Peru.
Sierra Leone, Sudan.
Venezuela.
Minor (under 18) applicants:

Must get the application form signed by both the parents. When intending to travel alone i.e. without the parents or legal guardian/ s will have to submit notarized letter of consent signed by non-accompanying parent/s or guardian/s.
Infants in the age group 3 months to 6 years, require certificate of vaccination against polio detailing the kind and dosage of vaccine. .
Applicant is advised a vaccine against Yellow fever provided s/he is destined to anyone of the following States within Brazil:

Acre
Amazonas
Amapa
Federal District
Goias
Maranhao
Mato Grosso
Mato Grosso do Sul.
Para
Rondonia
Roraima
Toncantins

On grant of a visa the traveler must arrive in Brazil within 90 days from visa issue date.
Tourist and business visas are initially issued for a maximum of 90 days renewable for another 90 days depending upon the approval from Brazilian Federal Police. But the maximum stay in any case can not exceed 180 days from the date of entry every year.
Applicant must fill in the form very carefully, as incomplete or unsigned applications will be rejected.

Brazilian consular authority is at liberty to ask for any additional document/ s or a personal interview.
Following charges (wherever applicable) will be charged over and above the visa processing fee.
Handling Charge Rs. 500 (if processed via third party). Consultation Charge Rs. 2,000 per visa.
Legalization of documents Rs. 1000 up to 3 pages and Rs. 3000 for 4 and more pages.
The Visa fees and other applicable charges must be paid by a Demand Draft or Pay Order in favour of "Embassy of Brazil", payable at New Delhi.
