Permanent Visas
This visa is issued for the following categories:
Technicians or Professionals, Professors, High level Researchers wanting to conduct research in Brazil.
Investors with initial capital transfer of minimum US$ 200,000.00 with pre-approval of investment plan by Brazilian National Council on Immigration (CMIG).
Administrators, Managers or Directors hired by commercial enterprise or civil organization or in an organization started under the Investor category.
Retired person whose age is sixty (60) years or older and is able to transfer a minimum equivalent to US $ 2,000 on monthly basis in accordance to Indian law. Such an applicant can also be accompanied by 2 more persons who are also dependent on him and they will also be covered under the same amount. Just in case if the applicant wants to be accompanied by more than 2 dependents, then the applicant should transfer @ US$ 1,000 for each additional accompanied dependent.

Family Reunion.
For all the above applicants (except Family Reunion) visa has to be applied for in Brazil at the General Coordination for Immigration of the Ministry of Labour at the following address by their prospective employer.
Under the Investor category also a prior approval has to be obtained from the Brazilian National Council on Immigration (CMIG).
Upon approval from the General Coordination for Immigration of the Ministry of Labour or Brazilian National Council on Immigration, the Embassy will be notified for issuance of a visa. The applicant should then contact the Embassy who in turn will inform the applicant regarding the details of documents required depending upon individual requirement.
