Condition
Applicant's employer in Belgium must apply and obtain an employer permit and a work permit (VDAB, FOREM or ORBEM/BSDA) for the applicant from the relevant sub-regional employment service depending on where the company's head office is situated.
Applicant may note that, apart from certain exceptions (e.g. highly qualified staff, researchers, trainees or au pairs), employer permits are only issued if there are no workers or not enough workers on the Belgian labour market for the sector in question due to its specific characteristics and if there is an international agreement.

Documents required
Two copies of duly completed and signed visa application Forms
Two passport size photos of the applicant
Valid passport of the applicant with validity of at least 12 months
Applicant's original valid type B work permit (permit de travail BI arbeidskaart B) which was sent by the Belgium employer
Police clearance Certificate of the applicant which should not be older than 6 months from the date of application and covering the period of previous 5 years
A medical certificate, (see Annexure BEL-IV) obtained from the doctor designated by the Belgian embassy or consulate, dated and not older than 6 months from the date of application.
Note:
1. Official documents issued in India or elsewhere must be legalised.
2. Documents issued in India in a language other than Dutch, English French or German must be translated by a sworn translator.
3. The documents listed above are only the basic documents to be submitted. Additional documents may be requested by the embassy or consulate.
