Who can Apply?
. Applicant may apply for a family reunification visa to reside in Belgium with a descendant who holds Belgian citizenship and resides in Belgium.
. Applicant may also apply for a visa for family reunification to join his/her descendant's spouse if the spouse is a Belgian citizen.
. Applicant may also apply for this type of visa on condition that the applicant is dependent on his/her descendant in Belgium (or on the descendant of the applicant's spouse).

Documents required
. Two copies of duly completed and signed visa application Forms.
. Two passport size photos of the applicant.
. Valid passport of the applicant with validity of at least 12 months.
. Official copy of the full birth certificate of the descendant with whom the applicant wish to reside in Belgium.
. Copy of the Belgian identity card, Belgian passport or residence permit for foreign nationals issued to the descendant with whom the applicant wishes to reside in Belgium.
. Proof that the applicant is wholly dependent for several years
. on the descendant with whom the applicant wishes to reside in Belgium (e.g. proof of credit transfers).
. An official copy of the marriage certificate of the descendant with whom the applicant wishes to reside in Belgium (if the applicant is applying for a visa on the basis of his/her descendant's spouse).

Note:
1. Official documents issued in India or elsewhere must be legalised.
2. Documents issued in India in a language other than Dutch, English, French or German must be translated by a sworn translator.
3. The documents listed above are only the basic documents to be submitted. Additional documents may be requested by the embassy or consulate.
4. The descendant with whom the applicant wishes to reside in Belgium must not be de facto separated from the Belgian citizen or Indian national settled in Belgium to whom the descendant is married and with whom the applicant is applying to participate in family reunification.
