Transit visa
This category of visa is not issued to Indians. Indian nationals are free to transit through Bangladesh airports/ seaports without visa.

Re-entry visa
This category of visa is issued in Bangladesh to that applicant who wishes to enter again in Bangladesh without applying again through the High Commission in India. Holder of this visa is free to enter again in Bangladesh without a fresh visa. To obtain this visa applicant must:
Be in Bangladesh on a valid visa.
Visit Bangladesh again within 30 days of his/her departure from Bangladesh.

Note: Application for this category must be made to the Department of Immigration and Passports, Bangladesh. Refer to Annexure BG-II for application form.
Important information for students wishing to enter Bangladesh to pursue MBBS and BDS courses in Government Medical colleges.

The government of Bangladesh offers a quota of 7 seats to MBBS and BDS students of Indian nationality under self-financing scheme in the Government Medical Colleges, out of which 6 are for MBBS students and 1 is for BDS students.

Applicant must fulfill the following conditions to be eligible for application:
(a) Applicant must have passed qualifying examinations Le.12th grade (10+2=12 years) of schooling at a public school/board/ university or passed an examination which is recognized by the government of Bangladesh as equivalent to the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination.
(b) Applicant must have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as his/her major/compulsory subjects.

(c), Applicant must have obtained atleast 65% marks in average or aggregate in secondary and higher secondary Certificate Examination or equivalent examinations respectively.
(d) Applicant must submit four attested copies of certificates and mark sheets etc along with the application.

Note:
All certificates and mark Sheets must essential be attested by the Ministry of, HRD and Ministry of External Affairs India (office of MEA is situated at Patiala: House, New-Delhi).
(e) Applicant will pay tuition and other fees equivalent to any other local student.
(f) Applications should be submitted in India through High Commission and must reach the Foreign Ministry by 22nd January each year.
(g) Application must accompany a non-refundable Demand Draft of US$ 50 or equivalent in Bangladeshi currency payable to the Director, Medical Education& HMPD; DGHS, Mohakhali, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
