Who Can Apply?
This visa is issued to those academicians who are invited by the Australian Tertiary Institutions or research institutions for the purpose of research along with their spouse and dependent children.

Applicant must not receive remuneration other than a contribution towards living and travel expenses.

Documents Required

. A duly filled in application in form 147 (See Annexure Australia VII).

. Invitation letter from the Australian institution / university

. Personal particulars for character assessment form 80 (See Annexure Australia VIII)

. Police Records check consent to obtain personal information form 1101 (See Annexure Australia IX).

. Details of Relatives Form M67 (See Annexure Australia II).

. Letter from the Australian university / institution stating that the applicant will not be receiving a salary, scholarship or allowance (other than an allowance towards living expenses in Australia and travel costs) from the institution.

. A clear description of the occupation and contact details of the employer is to be included in the application form. Occupation titles such as "business" and" service" are not acceptable.

. Documentary evidence of current employment / educational status.

. Evidence of sufficient funds to support the applicant and any accompanying family members for the duration of stay in Australia.
