Today, travel and tourism has acquired a significant place both economically and socially all over the world. It has been important social activities from time immemoraial.

With majestic Himalayas in the North, a spectacular coastline surrounded by Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal, and the vibrant and colorful lifestyles of seven northeastern sisters, it cannot be anything less than that. The Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) articulates that by the year 2020, India could witness around 40 million tourist arrivals, constituting 4 per cent of world travellers.
