Eligibility - Xth standard passed from a recognised Board with a minimum average score of 50% (relax able to 45% for candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in Mathematics and Science subjects. Those who have appeared for the Xth standard examination and awaiting results before June are also eligible to apply. Age - 18 years. Last Date - June.
CENTRE FOR ELECTRONICS DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY (Deptt. of Electronics, Govt. of India) (Dr. BAM University Campus) Aurangabad 431004 offers admission to the first year of the Diploma in Electronics Production and Maintenance - It is a three year (six semester) course which grooms students for a career as production/maintenance supervisor or design assistant in an electronics or allied industry. Eligibility - Std Xth from a recognised board with minimum 50% (Relaxable upto 45% for candidates belonging to reserved category) in Mathematics and Science subjects. Those who have appeared for the Std Xth examinations this year and are expecting their results to be declared before June are also eligible to apply.
The candidates should not be less than 15 years of age in July. The upper age limit on the same date is 18 years for general category and 20 for reserved category candidates. The course commences in July. Selection is made on the basis of a written test conducted at Aurangabad during June. The test for DEPM course is of two house duration and covers Mathematics and Science of SSC standard. The test may be conducted in Nagpur and Pune also, provided the number of applicants from those regions justifies the same.
	CEDT, Aurangabad also conducts 'T' & 'E' level examinations in Computer Hardware Maintenance in October. 'T' Level (Technician Level) Examination - T -1 Basic Electronic Components and Hardware, T-2 Digital Electronics and Microprocessor, T-3 PC Architecture and trouble shooting, T -4 Software Techniques and "E" Level (Engineering Level) Examination - E-1 Microcomputer System Design, E-2 Pc Architecture and Hardware Maintenance, E-3 Debugging Techniques, E-4 LAN, UNIX Engineering and latest software techniques.
