Also offers -
1-year Post Graduate Diploma Course in Cement Technology. This course covers the entire spectrum of cement technology-Geology and Mining, Raw Materials Technology, Process Technology, Energy Conservation, Pollution Controls, Plant Maintenance, Testing and Quality Control-besides on-the-job training in cement plants. The course has two streams - One for engineering graduates who are specialising in process technology including operation and maintenance and other for M.Sc, B.Sc. who are specialising in testing and quality control in cement manufacture.
In order to meet the above requirement the course has two semesters. First Semester remains common to both the streams while the second Semester is towards specialisation of technology for each stream.
Eligibility - Graduates in Science (with a minimum of 55% marks with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects of the course and also Engineering graduates in Mechanical, Chemical, Ceramics, Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation disciplines are eligible to apply.
Duration - One year. Venue - NCB - Ballabgarh (Haryana)
Course Fee for Participants - Rs. 70,000/- for sponsored participants (subject to revision).
Admission -
1) Preference is given to candidates sponsored by industry/Government departments/ undertakings, etc.
2) For non-sponsored candidates, selection is through a written test and/or interview.
3) Minimum qualifying marks may be relaxed in the case of sponsored candidates.
