	ADVANCED TRAINING INSTITUTE (Government of India, Ministry of Labour, DGE & T) Gill Road Ludhiana 141003 (Punjab) offers admission to the Craft Instructor Scheme in the following trades - (i) 2-year Machinist, Turner, Fitter. Eligibility - Passed 10th Class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent. (ii) I-year Welder (Gas & Electric). Eligibility - Passed 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent. (iii) I-year Computer Operator and Programming Asstt. (COPA).
Eligibility -Passed 10+2 class examination under 10+2 system of education or passed three year diploma in any branch of engineering from a recognized polytechnic, other things being equal the candidates with higher qualifications will be given preference.
Reservation - 25% seats are reserved for women candidates. Seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates based on the percentage of population of SC/ST respectively in the state concerned accordingly to 1981 census. 10 seats are reserved for wards of the Defence personnel etc., 3% for persons with disability candidates subject to eligibility and availability of seats after allotment to tile Government deputed candidates Fee & Deposits - As per Rules. Hostel Facilities - Moderate Hostel accommodation is available at a nominal rent per month per person. Further details can be had from the Institute. Notification - May. Last Date - June. Short term courses under Advanced Vocational Training System conducted during the period April to September, are as below: 1. ISRED Indian Standards & Reading of Engineering Drawing. 2. TDM Tool and Die Making - Jig & fixture making, Press Tool Making, Heat Treatment of Steel, Gauge Making, Operator Optical Profile Grinder (Wasine Japan).
	3. TRO Tool Room Operator - Operator Tool Milling & Boring Machine, Operator Electric Discharge Machine. 4. MEI Metrology & Engineering Inspection - Linear & Angular Measurements, Screw Thread Metrology, Co-ordinate Measurements 5. EM Electrical Maintenance Industrial Electronics (Basic), Electrical & Electronics controls, AC Motor Winding. 6. MTM Machine Tool Maintenance Pneumatic Circuits and its applications, Hydraulic Circuits and its applications, Hydraulic and Electro-Hydraulic circuits and its applications. 7. AW Advanced Welding - CO2 Welding, Resistance Spot Welding, Welding for Maintenance, Pipe Welding.

8. RAC Refrigeration & Air Conditioning - Servicing & Maintenance of Room Air Conditioner, Servicing & Maintenance of Refrigerator and Water Cooler.

9. AHE Advanced Heat Engine Servicing of Diesel Engine (Mobile Type), Servicing & Testing of Petrol Engine, Servicing & Testing of Electrical Unit of Petrol Engine.

10. AEM Advanced Electronic Maintenance - Linear Integrated Circuits, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors.

11. AFM Advanced Farm Machinery - Field Operation (Wheat) of Combine Harvester, Maintenance of Transmission system of combine Harvestor.

13. HI Hi-Tech Courses - Prog. & Oper. of Vertical Machining Centre (VMC 500-FANUC Control), Prog. & Oper. of Horizontal Machining Centre (HMC500-Sinumerick Control), Auto CAD Release 2000(2 D), Auto CAD (Solid Modelling), Master CAM.

14. EMS Equipment Maintenance System - Machine Tool Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance.

Eligibility - National Trade Certificate/National Apprenticeship certificate in relevant trade with about 3 years industrial experience or Diploma in Engg. with 1 year industrial experience. The qualification can be relaxed in case of experienced candidates directly sponsored by the industry. Further details can be had from the office of the Director.
