Offers following short-term courses under the Advanced Vocational Training System conducted during January to March.
1. Tool Design - A Optical Jig Boring, B. Universal Tool Milling

Eligibility - (a) NAC in Machinist Trade (b) 2 years experience in machine shop.
C Optical profile grinding.

Eligibility - (a) NAC in Machinist/ Grinder trade &
(b) 3 years experience in Grinding shop.
D. Tool Room Supervisors Training.

Eligibility - (a) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
(b) 2 years experience as section in­charge / group leader in a tool room.

2.  Production Technology - A Concept Oriented Multi Skill Training programme (a) M.M.T.-Gear Manufacturing.

Eligibility - (a) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR NAC/NAT in Machinist trade.(b) 1 year experience in Gear Manufacturing shop
(b) Skill oriented operator Training Programme; A Surface Grinding Universal Grinding C. Centre less Grinding.

Eligibility - (a) NAC/ NAT in Machinist/Grinder (b) 2 years experience in relevant field.

3. Metrology & Engineering Inspection - A Zelss 3 Coordinate Measuring Machine with Computer Control B. Surface Roughness Measurement C. Gauge & Gauge Control.

Eligibility - (a) S. S. L.C. and NTC/NACin Metal Cutting Trades with 3 years relevant experience Or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 2 years relevant experience.

4. Machine Tool Maintenance - A Maintenance Practice B. Material Handling C. Testing of Machine Tools.

Eligibility - (a) NAC/NTC in Millwright/Fitter/Turning/Machinist trades with 3 years relevant experience OR diploma in Mechanical Engg. with 2 years experience in relevant field.

5. Industrial Hydraulic & Pneumatic Control - A Electro Pneumatics and Electro Hydraulics in Industrial Applications.

Eligibility - (a) Degree (or) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years  experience or NAC in Millwright/Fitter with 3 years experience in the field of maintenance.

6. Electrical & Electronics Maintenance - A Power Electronics

Eligibility - (a) NTC/NAC in Electrician trade/Electronics/Radio & TV with 3 years relevant experience (b) Diploma in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or equivalent. B. Electrical Maintenance with 2 years relevant experience.

Eligibility - (a) NTC/NAC in Electrician/Wireman or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (b) 3 years experience in relevant field.

7. Heat Treatment & Material Testing - A Heat Treatment Course for Technicians.
Eligibility - (a) NAC/NTC in metal working trade with 3 years experience OR Diploma in Engineering with 2 year experience.

B. Surface hardening/lnduction hardening -
Eligibility (a) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with one year OR SSLC with 3 years experience in relevant field.

C. Destructive & non-Destructive Testing of Metals -
Eligibility - (a)  Diploma in Engineering/B.Sc. Physics/Chemistry with 2 years Industrial experience OR SSLC with minimum 5 years experience in Industry.

D. Mechanical Methods of Testing of Ferrous - Me s (a) SSLC
or equivalent with 2 years experience in metal working trades.

E. Non-destructive Testing of metals -
Eligibility - (a) Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. Physics/Chemistry with 2 years industrial experience or SSLC with minimum 5 years experience in industry.

8. Industrial Chemistry - A Gas Tungston Arc (TIG) Welding B. MIG MAG Welding.
Eligibility - (a) Higher Secondary (Science Group) or equivalent with 2 years experience in relevant field (b) Diploma in Appropriate Branch of Engg. or equivalent with 1 year experience in relevant field (c) B.Sc. (Chemistry) or equivalent with 1 year Industrial experience in relevant field.

9. Advanced Welding - A Gas Tungston Arc (TIG) Welding B. MIG MAG Welding.
Eligibility - (a) NAC/NTC in welding trade with 1 years experience in Welding shop. C. Welding Fundamentals for Supervisors.

10. Process Control Instrumentation - A Process Control Instrumentation (Basic)
Eligibility - (a) Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/Electronics/Instrumentation with experience in process industries with 2 years relevant experience OR NTC/ NAC in the trade of instrument Mech./Process Control instrumentation with 3 years experience in process industries.

11. CNC Centre - A FMS Appreciation Course.
Eligibility - (a) Diploma in Engineering with 3 years experience or shop floor manager / Engineers. B. CNC Programming (Milling & Lathe)

Eligibility - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years experience in machine shop.

12. Heat Engines - A Repair & Maintenance of Diesel Engines
Eligibility - NTC/NAC in the trade of Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Diesel/Farm Equipment with 3 years relevant experience Or Diploma in Automobiles with 2 years field experience.
