Overseas Students
There are almost 3000 Indian students and 80,000 international students from Latin America, Germany, China, Japan, Russia and many other countries studying in New Zealand. Overseas students willing to study as full fee students in New Zealand, have to apply direct to educational institutions. Detailed information, closing dates for application to polytechnics and colleges of education are available from prospectuses held at New Zealand Government offices. The application form must also be accompanied by all the required documentation for example, certified copies of examination results. If you are applying for admission to a tertiary institution as a full-fee student and you are already attending a New Zealand school, you may apply directly to the university, polytechnic, college of education or other institution of your choice.
Accommodation and cost of living
Usually universities and polytechnics offer student accommodation on campus. Student support services, provided by most tertiary institutes, help in arranging homestays.
