Accreditation and quality control

The legislation relating to education in the Netherlands is the responsibility of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. A national system of regulation and quality assurance ensures high quality of education in the Netherlands.

The system of accreditation aims at guaranteeing that study programmes meet the highest standards. Under the system only programmes that meet all the criteria are accredited. Students who enrol in an accredited degree programme qualify for financial support.

The Netherlands-Flemish Accreditation Organization (NY AO) is responsible for accreditation. Further information can be had by logging on to www.nvao.nl

If you have not been able to receive a grant or scholarship, you have to give proof of having enough money to support yourself because there is no other source of funding. For detailed information, in this regard you may log on to www.studyin.nl
