7. Grants for Practical Training/Internships for Indian and German Students
Indian and German students whose course of study requires a period of practical training (internship) abroad, and who have a good command of German or English, respectively, may apply for logistical assistance from DAAD, to establish contact with an appropriate employer in the host country and to obtain the necessary clearances. A small number of DAAD stipends towards international travel costs is available.

DAAD also is the German Chapter of the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (I.A.E.S.T.E.) which arranges internships for Indian and German students from the Engineering disciplines, Agriculture & Forestry in German of Indian Universities and research institutes as well as in industry.
