Higher education in France
In general, education in France is subsidised by the state. About 140,000 international students go to France for study every year. In order to attract more international students, French universities are now increasingly using English as the language of instruction, specially in areas like management, engineering, political sciences, etc.

Most campuses have a multi-cultural environment in addition to many extra curricular activities. For students lacking proficiency in French, language centres and special courses are available during vacation time. Higher Education in France offers two main options:
Competitive universities: Entry is very selective at the Competitive Universities. Specialisation is available in engineering, commerce, civil services and teaching. Depending on the course, the duration varies from 3-5 years. Many of them offer a I-year MBA degree/diploma.
