Personality consideration

Acceptance on to a UK degree course also involves a question of personality. Universities and colleges look for motivation, commitment and a positive attitude in their applicants. Any experience relevant to the course you're applying for can go a long way.

Have you worked in a related field" for instance? What are your interests? Your ambitions? Your plans for the future? All these things are taken into account. So it pays to get across as much about yourself as you can on your written application. When you should apply?

The best time to apply is "as early as possible." Start applying from September of the preceding year and Applying before you have your 'A' level or other results. Most institutions accept applications right up to 20 September of the current year. But for Oxford and Cambridge you must apply before 15 October. Postgraduate applications can be made at any time.
