Guidance by Education Counselling Service

The Education Counselling Service (ECS) promotes opportunities for further and higher education in Britain by impartial advice, information and guidance to students interested in pursuing a course of study in Britain. It provides:

. Prospectuses. Reference material. Information sheets: A large number of handbooks and subject-specific information sheets to supplement the reference material.

Assistance with applications: The ECS stocks UCAS application forms and standardized British Council Division application forms that are accepted by nearly all British colleges and universities. Help, including direct placement, special airfares and assistance       with the visa applications is also available.

Counselling:
. Talks: Counsellors give regular talks  bout British education at Indian schools and universities. They also conduct briefing sessions for those about to study in Britain.

You will find a number of very useful reference books on Study in UK.

Services offered by British Council Library, New Delhi
The Library, which is part of a Network of 13 libraries spread all over India, is run by the British Council Division of the British High Commission. The Library offers the following services: Lending of books, videos, home videos and periodicals; Reference & Information services to visitors and by post/fax/e-mail/telephone; Group video shows; Reading room: comfortable seating for about 75 people; Educational Information and Counselling to study in Britain;

Business Information on Britain, Database searches; Current Awareness Services, Inter-Library loans; Photocopy and microfilm viewing & printing facility; British Library, UK service: International loan and document supply.
Membership can be taken by completing the prescribed form, producing a suitable introduction or identification and by paying the membership fee. Institutional applications should bear the official seal.
