Minimum standard of Entry in Australia
Even if you have obtained an Australian Year 12 or equivalent, and passed the pre-requisite subjects, this does not guarantee you entry to a particular course.

Because entry is competitive, the universities set minimum standard of entry for students, including international students, for each course.

The minimum standard of entry or overall entry score, can vary between courses in the same university, between similar courses in different universities, and from year to year for the same course. Some courses and some universities are in greater demand than others, and demand changes from year to year.

Some universities publish their minimum standards of entry; you should study these carefully. If a university does not publish this information, you should enquire about its minimum standards of entry before you apply. There is no point in applying for courses which have very high requirements if you clearly do not meet them.
