	Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) Admission to post-graduate programmes with MHRD Scholarship/Assistantship in Engineering/ Technology j Architecture/ Pharmacy and Sciences at colleges/ institutes in the country is open to those who qualify in GATE GATE is an All-India examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology at Delhi, Mumbai, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Roorkee, Chennai and Guwahati and the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, on behalf of the National Coordinating Board - GATE, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India
Eligibility: (i) Candidate should have a. Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy (ii) Candidate should have a Master's degree in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics or its equivalent
(iii) Candidate should be in the second or higher year of the (Post B.Sc.) 4-year Integrated Master's degree programme in Engineering/Technology or in the third or higher year of the 5-year Integrated Master's degree/Dual degree programme in Engineering/Technology You could have qualification equivalent to BE/ B.Tech obtained through an examination conducted by professional societies recognised by the Union Public Service Commission/ All India Council for Technical Education. Candidates who have completed Section A or the equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible

The application fee for the online mode is Rs 900 (Rs 400 for SC/ ST candidates). For the offline mode, the application fee is Rs 1,000 (Rs 500 for SC/ ST candidates) You may obtain the information brochure and application form from designated Banks. You may also obtain the brochure and application form from the GATE offices of the zone in which you select your test centre, on payment of the application fee as above, by demand draft drawn in favour of the concerned institute You may also obtain the brochure and application form by post, by sending a request to the Chairman, GATE, at any of the IITs and IISc, along with two self-addressed slips and the application fee as above by demand draft drawn in favour of the concerned institute
