offers Scholarships leading to Ph.D degree

Eligibility: Candidates should have a First or Second class Masters Degree in MA (Indian Language/Linguistics or allied disciplines) and are interested in pursuing interdisciplinary research leading to Ph.D Degree at the Institute in Mysore or in any other University. Duration: 2-years. Age: Not more than 30 years as on 30th April

Value: Rs.5000 p.m. with NET, Rs.4000 p.m. without NET. Contingency grant: Rs. 5000 p.a.

In addition to the monthly scholarships, a sum of Rs. 1000 only is given as contingent grant relating the total tenure of the scholarships for meeting. expenditure on field work, purchase of reference books in connection with the M.A. and M.Phil. courses

A sum of Rs. 2000 is given in connection with the Ph.D. course. The scholars shall ensure the fulfillment of the requisite qualifications prescribed by the University for admission to those courses. Preference is given to those who have already been admitted to the course by any recognised Indian University.
